Art Center Sales and Customer Service Coordinator

One River School of Art & Design, a company whose mission is to “transform art education”, is looking for a part-time Sales and Customer Service Coordiantor to work at our front desk. We are looking for hard-working team players who love helping people. You must have a demonstrated interest in Fine Visual arts - preferably with a BFA or visual arts related degree.

The hours will be part-time. We have hours available on weekends - predominately Saturdays.

One River has developed a new method for teaching art that makes it fun to learn while also producing compelling outcomes. We teach a variety of proprietary classes to students of all ages that builds proficiency in drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, cartooning, manga and more.

The ideal candidate is passionate about art, education, and business. We are looking for people who are effective communicators with the ability to interact with a professional and positive energy.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with marketing by distributing rack cards in the community and following up on leads via phone, email and text
• Answer phones, meet and greet students and parents at the front desk
• Assist with Student Art Show hanging
• Assist with Student Art Show reception preparation
• Help run Birthday party events
• Attend offsite events
• In the Summer will document classroom activity and upload photos in to Padlet (training given)
• Assist with any administrative duties that are required

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Thoughtful communication skills

• Detail oriented, self-starter, well organized, able to organize set weekly priorities and goals for assigned tasks

• Some weekend availability required

• 1 customer service experience

• A demonstrated interest in visual arts (studying visual arts in college or taking fine art classes etc.)

Huge Plus If:

• Familiar with G-Suite (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Forms, etc.)

• Familiar with Graphic Design, but not required (i.e Canva, Adobe Photoshop etc.)

• Familiar with platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and local Westchester Blogs.

• Any interest or experience in art education or museum education
