About One Pro AVL

One Pro AVL is seeking experienced freelance Audio Visual Technicians to support corporate, non-profit, and private live events throughout the greater Seattle area. We work with both AV generalists and department specialists in audio, video, and lighting.

This is an on-site, contract (1099) role with varying schedules based on event needs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and strike audio, video, and lighting systems
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in live event environments
  • Collaborate with production managers, technicians, and clients on site
  • Maintain professional standards for safety, organization, and show quality


Roles & Experience Levels

We staff multiple experience levels depending on event scope:

  • Utility / General AVL
  • Audio Technician / Lighting Technician / Video Technician
  • A1/A2 / Lighting Designer (LD) / Video Lead (V1)

Applicants may be considered for one or more roles based on experience.


Technical Experience

Audio

  • PA system deployment, wireless microphone coordination, and mixing for panels and playback
  • Equipment includes DAS Audio speakers, Allen & Heath and Midas consoles, and Shure microphones


Lighting

  • Fixture setup, addressing, programming, and show operation
  • Lighting control via ChamSys consoles


Video

  • LED video wall setup, video signal flow, and live switching
  • Systems include NovaStar LED processors and Blackmagic Design video switchers


Qualifications
  • Professional experience operating AVL systems in live event environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently under time constraints
  • Reliable transportation to venues throughout the Seattle area
  • Relevant AV or technical certifications are a plus


Job Details
  • Location: Greater Seattle Area
  • Work Type: On-site

  • Schedule: Varies by event (including evenings and weekends)
  • Compensation: $40–$60 per hour, based on role and experience
