About the Role
One Parking – City of Delray Beach is hiring Parking Enforcement Ambassadors to join our Downtown team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being outdoors, staying active, and helping people while ensuring parking regulations are followed.
As a Parking Ambassador, you’ll be the friendly face of parking in Delray Beach, providing customer service, assisting visitors with meters and mobile apps, and helping keep the community safe and organized.
Schedule
- Shifts may fall between 8:00 AM and 2:00 AM
- Includes nights, weekends, and holidays
- Flexibility is required (schedule finalized after training)
What You’ll Do
- Patrol assigned areas (on foot or by vehicle) to enforce parking regulations
- Issue citations for violations (expired meters, improper parking, etc.)
- Assist customers with pay stations, mobile apps, and provide directions
- Report damaged meters, signage, and maintenance issues
- Support traffic control during events and emergencies
- Prepare daily activity reports and provide testimony in court as needed
- Represent the City with professionalism and excellent customer service
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Parking Enforcement Specialist Certification (Preferred – can be obtained after hire)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours) and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
