What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compassionate Part-Time Caregiver Needed position at One on One Care?
One on One Care is seeking a dependable, patient, and compassionate caregiver to assist an older adult in his home. This client has multiple medical conditions and requires hands-on personal care, close supervision, and someone who can provide reassurance and companionship throughout the day.
Schedule (20 hours/week):
- Monday-Friday, 9am-1pm
Responsibilities include:
- Providing hands-on assistance with transfers and mobility (client is a high fall risk)
- Assisting with toileting and frequent brief changes to protect skin integrity
- Helping with meals and providing feeding assistance when needed
- Reminding the client to check blood sugar 2–3 times per day
- Monitoring for safety and providing gentle cueing and supervision
- Offering companionship while supporting the client's dignity and independence
We're looking for someone who is:
- Kind, patient, and dependable
- Comfortable providing hands-on personal care
- Experienced caring for seniors or individuals with dementia (preferred)
- Attentive to safety and fall prevention
- Able to communicate clearly and work independently
