What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counter Service / Poolside Restaurant Attendant (Full-Time / Part-Time) position at ONE Oak Bistro?
We are hiring a Full-Time or Part-Time Counter Service Team Member for our casual poolside restaurant located inside a waterfront hotel in Hallandale Beach. We serve breakfast, lunch, coffee, cocktails, and poolside drinks in a relaxed, fast-paced environment with a great team and strong tip potential.
This is not a traditional serving position. Guests order at the counter, receive a number, and either sit in the restaurant or at the pool. When orders are ready, we run the food to tables or call the guest’s number using our caller system for pool guests to pick up their food.
Typically only 2 staff members work per shift, so we are looking for someone reliable, efficient, friendly, and comfortable multitasking.
Hours of Operation:
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Weekends: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
This is a great position for someone who enjoys morning shifts, coffee service, casual hospitality, and earning strong tips.
Responsibilities
- Take guest orders at the register and process payments
- Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, and basic beverages
- Pour beer, wine, and simple cocktails (full liquor license)
- Call guest numbers when orders are ready
- Run food to tables when needed
- Maintain cleanliness of counter, dining area, and service stations
- Restock beverages, coffee supplies, and to-go items
- Provide friendly, fast, and professional customer service
- Open or close the restaurant depending on shift
- Work as part of a small team to keep operations running smoothly

- Restaurant or café experience
- Barista or coffee shop experience
- Bartending or bar experience
