Currently, One Nevada is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to fill the full-time Real Estate Loan Officer position. The RELO performs the following duties:
Business Development 30%
• Solicits residential first mortgage loans through contact with, builders, Realtors, developers, existing and new members, and existing book of mortgage referral business as applicable.
• Explains and reviews all loan programs with prospective borrowers/applicants.
Origination 70%
• Interviews loan applicants, gathers applications and supporting documents, and completes loan applications;
• Applies quality control guidelines to loan submissions;
• Organizes loan application for submission to processors and underwriters;
• Completes borrower’s income analysis qualifications to underwriting standards;
• Chronicles weekly communication with borrower/ Realtors as to borrower loan status;
• Completes computer data input on all new loan applications;
• Collects required documentation from applicants for processors/underwriting; and
• Performs other duties as assigned, including attending all mortgage related onsite and offsite events
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of sales techniques in a professional environment;
• Working knowledge of FHA, VA, FNMA and FHLMC programs to pre-qualify applicants; • Working knowledge of TRID and income analysis
• Skill in the operation of standard office software and mortgage lending software;
• Skill in the operation of a personal computer to include Internet/Intranet use, operating system, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, calendar, and scheduling software;
• Ability to maintain a valid Nevada State drivers license;
• Ability to analyze information and recommend solutions;
• Ability to maintain regularly scheduled attendance;
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
• Ability to maintain regularly scheduled attendance;
• Must be eligible for certification under the SAFE ACT;
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and customers; and
• Must be able to relate appropriately to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: (a) can get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes; (b) perform work activities requiring negotiating, instruction, and communicating with others; and (c) respond appropriately to constructive feedback from a supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or GED equivalent plus two years of government and conventional loan origination, underwriting and processing experience Two years’ experience as a real estate loan officer is required. Must have experience with FNMA-DU.
