ANTI-TRAFFICKING TEAM SUPERVISOR/COORDINATOR

JOB IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION

Department:              Anti-Trafficking


JOB SUMMARY

As part of the Anti-Trafficking Mobile Teams consisting of the Mentor and Clinician, the Team Supervisor will create a comprehensive system of care for commercially sexually exploited (CSE) and trafficked children and young adults. The purpose of the Team Coordinator is to ensure each victim/ survivor is identified and referred to One More Child Anti-Trafficking-Mobile Teams has access to a comprehensive set of survivor/victim support services based on an individual needs assessment and is victim- centered and survivor-led. This position requires travel into the field, as well as flexible on-call availability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure individual assessments for clients are facilitated to meet the standard of comprehensive, trauma-informed, and culturally competent and meet the individual needs of the client.
  • Provide initial care management services including access to and coordination of clinical services as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with Clinician and Mentors to ensure that the needs of clients are met.
  • Lead or support emergency legal assistance such as filing restraining orders and obtaining emergency custody/visitation rights when such actions are directly connected to family violence cases and are taken to ensure the health and safety of the victim.
  • Engage various service providers, such as mental health providers, social services as well as stakeholders, government agencies, law enforcement, to assist victims/survivors and families.
  • Provide skills training to staff and volunteers to develop the skills of direct service providers. to ensure trauma-informed care practices, quality care, and direct services to victims. For example, “How to Respond to a Victim in Crisis” training.
  • Collaborate with the Engagement department to organize, schedule and monitor volunteer services.
  • Complete documentation as required by funding entities, courts, and referral sources.
  • Other duties assigned are based on programmatic needs.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise the Anti-Trafficking team, comprised of Clinician, Advocate, and Mentor positions, in all aspects, performance management, day-to-day, performance management, training, development, and other areas of importance.
  • Provide timely feedback, in the form of one-on-one meetings, coaching, and other performance management.
  • Ensure the team is operating in a way that reflects One More Child’s Core Values and the team culture aligns with the organizational objective of being a Top 100 Place to Work.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, Human Services or related field.
  • Three or more years of experience in providing direct care and coordinated services to trauma victims.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in social work, Human Services, or related field.

  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written; attention to detail, and ability to multi–task and stay organized under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Skills in effectively organizing work, files, records, etc., to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Ability to protect the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Computer and systems skills, such as experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is required to walk, climb stairs, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. As this position has field work, it may require mobility to move in homes or facilities that are not considered accessible.

This job requires the ability to work in stressful conditions and remain focused for extended periods of time. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds (boxes, documents, and/or equipment).  Further, this position requires working outside of a day shift, times that includes late nights and weekends.
