Position Summary:
The CPR Instructor is responsible for teaching cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid, and other life-saving skills to individuals and groups. This role involves delivering engaging, accurate, and hands-on training sessions that meet established safety guidelines and certification standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct CPR, AED, and First Aid training classes for individuals, businesses, and community groups
- Demonstrate proper techniques and supervise hands-on practice sessions
- Ensure all course content follows current guidelines and certification requirements
- Evaluate participants’ skills and administer written and practical exams
- Maintain accurate training records and certification documentation
- Prepare and maintain training materials, equipment, and supplies
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and group sizes
- Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Current CPR Instructor certification from a recognized organization (e.g., Red Cross or AHA)
- Valid CPR/AED and First Aid certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous teaching, training, or public speaking experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must live in Colorado area
