Snapshot of Daily Duties
- Perform routine patient check-in procedures, including patient work-ups and new patient history.
- Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous medications as directed by physician.
- Perform phlebotomy for lab work and complete required forms.
- Approve prescriptions and communicate with pharmacies at direction of physicians.
- Assist in maintaining general medical records.
- Schedule patient appointments and other procedures in the computer as needed.
- Schedule outpatient x-rays and tests as needed.
- HOURS: Monday through Thursday - 36 hours per week.
- 3 day weekend EVERY week!
- Travel to fill in for other site occasionally: 5653 Frist Boulevard, #530, Hermitage, TN.
The Must Haves
- Medical Assistant certification or the equivalent preferred.
- 5 plus years of Previous M.D. office experience or clinical work.
- Experience managing front desk operations, including patient check-in and check-out.
- Maintain current licensure and BLS certification.
- Membership in the State and National SGNA recommended.
- Maturity, empathy, and patience.
- Be special – Not everyone can do what we do.
- The ideal candidate must have the ability to adjust to a fast-paced environment and follow proper protocols.
