Position Overview
We are looking for a dependable and mission-driven First Responder & Warehouse Associate to join our Operations Team. This is not just another job — this is a calling.
You’ll spend part of your week on the road rescuing food donations and part of it in the warehouse helping prepare food for distribution. Some days are short, others run long, but every day has purpose. We’re looking for someone who sees beyond the task list; someone who wants to make a real, positive impact in people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Food Rescue
- Safely operate a 26ft box truck to pick up and deliver food donations.
- Load and unload food, often up to 50 lbs.
- Build positive relationships with donors, store managers, and community partners.
- Maintain weight logs, safety compliance, and clean vehicle records.
- Represent OneGenAway with professionalism, compassion, and integrity.
Warehouse Operations
- Receive, organize, and track incoming food donations.
- Help manage inventory and ensure accurate poundage reporting.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
- Assist in volunteer engagement; helping each person understand that what we do is bigger than food.
- Support logistics for mobile food distributions and emergency response.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Experience driving a 26ft truck preferred (training provided).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.
- Forklift/pallet jack experience preferred (certification provided upon hire).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and flexibility with changing needs or longer days.

Schedule & Compensation
- Typical Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
- Some Days: May run longer based on operational needs.
- Rotating Saturdays: Required as part of team schedule (weekday off provided).
- Salary Range: $42,000–$45,000 (depending on experience).
