Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Automotive Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of repairs and maintenance services efficiently and correctly. This role is perfect for a technician who excels at executing repair plans, takes pride in their workmanship, and is committed to providing excellent service.
Responsibilities
· Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
· Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
· Conduct repairs on automotive electrical systems, engines, transmissions, and other critical components.
· Utilize schematics to understand vehicle systems and identify necessary repairs or adjustments.
· Repair or replace damaged vehicle components as needed.
· Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
· Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.
Requirements
· Proven experience in automotive repair and maintenance with a strong understanding of mechanical systems with the ability to ask questions under mentorship of more experienced techs.
· Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment related to automotive service.
· Knowledge of automotive electrical systems is essential for effective troubleshooting.
· Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
· Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
· Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients effectively.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 2 years of automotive mechanic experience (preferred)
· ASE certification a plus
· Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
· Valid driver's license
· Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks
Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
