Role Snapshot
As an entry-level Information Security Analyst, you’ll help protect the bank’s sensitive information by validating that technology controls work as intended and by strengthening our overall security posture. You’ll partner across departments to spot gaps, document issues clearly, and recommend practical improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing and documenting internal control testing
- Reviewing penetration testing outcomes and tracking remediation
- Testing and assessing new technologies against security requirements
- Advising on IT security requirements and control design
- Supporting audits/exams (internal and external)
- Contributing to incident response, business continuity, and security awareness efforts
Required qualifications/skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems (or related field)
- 1 year in information security or IT
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications
- Strong written/verbal communication
- Familiarity with patch management, firewalls, antivirus, IDPS, and security documentation

A Typical Day
Your day runs Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, onsite. You’ll start by checking in on open security items and coordinating with teammates and internal partners on what needs attention. Expect a mix of focused analysis time and collaborative conversations—reviewing findings, organizing evidence for auditors, and capturing clear notes in shared documentation. As questions come in from end users, you’ll gather feedback, translate it into actionable improvements, and help keep security guidance easy to understand. You’ll also spend time validating changes as new tools or updates roll out, ensuring controls remain effective and well-supported.
