What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator position at One Child Center for Autism?
Do you thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where no two days are the same? We’re looking for a full-time Programs Coordinator to lead and manage all aspects of our recreational programs, events and volunteer efforts. From holiday events to summer camps, Kid’s Night, to social clubs, you’ll be at the heart of bringing our programs to life!
What You’ll Do
- Lead and Manage Programs: Plan, oversee, and coordinate recreational programs year-round, including special events, Kid’s Night, summer programs, and ongoing social clubs.
- Recruit & Support Volunteers: Find, train, and supervise volunteers, especially for Kid’s Night, ensuring a positive experience for all participants.
- Recruit & Supervise Staff: Work closely with the Executive Director to hire and manage staff for recreational programs, helping them succeed and grow.
- Promote Programs: Market all programs through social media, mass emails, and website updates to engage our community.
- Sponsor Engagement: Assist with sponsorship recruitment for Kids’ Night events.
- Track & Improve: Collect and analyze program data to measure success, identify areas for improvement, and adapt activities as needed.
- Innovate & Collaborate: Work closely with the Executive Director to plan and develop exciting new programs.
- Support Clinical Programs: Work closely with Clinical staff on scheduling and documentation.
- Other Duties: Take on special projects and tasks as needed to support our mission.
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple events and meet deadlines
- Expertise in Google Suite (Sheets, Forms, Docs, etc.)
- Proficient with WordPress, Canva, Buffer, and other social online platforms.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively
- Valid Virginia Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation
Special Requirements
- Commitment to serving families with compassion and empathy
- Availability to work nights and weekends as programs require
- Clean driving record for driving rental trucks to events
- Ability to lift, bend, and carry up to 50 lbs

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
