What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse position at One Call Away Health Services?
OBJECTIVE: Properly assist One Call Away In-Home Services LLC’s management team, community staff and clients with ensuring the continuity, consistency and quality of care provided meets the guidelines set forth by One Call Away In-Home Services LLC, the Missouri Department of Social Services and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ø Currently licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri
Ø 1-2 years of clinical experience (acute, medical or home health)
Ø Have reliable transportation
Ø Be compassionate, mature, sympathetic and professional
Ø Good organization and communication skills
Ø Ability to read, write, comprehend and carry out written and verbal directions.
Ø Successfully complete required pre‐employment background screenings
Ø Have the physical ability to perform job related duties, which may require lifting, standing, bending, transferring, stooping, stretching, walking, pushing and pulling
Ø Actively participate in all required agency and state trainings
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists clients in the following areas as outlined on their authorized care plan
Ø Conduct home visits with agency clients to complete nursing tasks outlined on their authorized care plan
Ø Conduct General Health Evaluations utilizing the General Health Evaluation and Level of Care Determination form
Ø Complete on-the-job training reviews of agency Personal Care Attendants’ work performance
Ø Review and initial all on-site visit reports made by the agency’s Designated Administrative Supervisor
Ø Provide increased supervision to agency Personal Care Attendants
Ø Recommend maintenance or preventative services as needed for clients
Ø Assess clients’ health and the suitability of their authorized care plan to ensure it continues to meet the client’s needs
Ø Conduct all initial assessments and onsite visits for all clients authorized to receive Advanced Personal Care services
Ø Communicate with client’s physicians when necessary and as needed
Ø Properly and effectively document all interactions with agency clients on appropriate forms
Ø During visit, if applicable: administer medications, disease education, support with tasks on care plan if needed
Ø Report any changes in the client’s health to the Designated Administrative Supervisor
Ø Maintain confidentiality of all clients, family members, staff and client documentation
Ø Additional duties as assigned by the agency’s Designated Administrative Supervisor
Pay: $50.00 per hour
