Position Summary The Director of Curriculum supports the overall quality, consistency, and growth of teaching and learning across ONE Arts programs. This role helps lead curriculum development and implementation, supports staff professional growth, provides teacher mentorship and coaching, and serves as a fill-in for site directors when needed and available. The Director of Curriculum works closely with program leadership to ensure classrooms reflect the mission, values, licensing requirements, and educational philosophy of ONE Arts.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Leadership

  • Support the development, refinement, and implementation of curriculum across programs
  • Help ensure curriculum is aligned with ONE Arts values, child development best practices, licensing requirements, and program goals
  • Partner with teachers and directors to strengthen lesson planning, classroom environments, and learning experiences
  • Assist in reviewing curriculum materials, classroom documentation, and teaching practices for quality and consistency
  • Promote developmentally appropriate, engaging, inclusive, and creative learning experiences for children

Professional Development

  • Help design, coordinate, and facilitate staff professional development opportunities
  • Identify areas of growth across programs and recommend training topics and supports
  • Support onboarding and continued learning for teaching staff
  • Encourage reflective practice and continuous improvement among educators
  • Assist with tracking training completion and professional learning needs as assigned

Teacher Mentorship and Coaching

  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to teachers across sites
  • Model strong instructional practices, classroom management, and effective communication
  • Observe classrooms and offer constructive feedback in partnership with directors
  • Support teachers in setting goals and growing their instructional practice
  • Help build staff confidence, consistency, and leadership capacity

Operational and Leadership Support

  • Serve as a fill-in for site directors when available and as needed
  • Provide leadership support during director absences, transitions, or high-need periods
  • Help maintain continuity of program operations and communication when covering leadership needs
  • Collaborate with directors and central leadership on program improvement efforts
  • Support a positive, organized, and mission-aligned culture across sites

Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Support adherence to licensing regulations, health and safety practices, and organizational policies
  • Assist in maintaining high-quality program standards and readiness for monitoring or review
  • Help ensure teaching staff understand expectations related to curriculum, supervision, and classroom practice

Qualifications

  • Experience in early childhood education, curriculum leadership, instructional coaching, or program administration
  • Strong knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practice
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or supervising educators
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to lead with professionalism, flexibility, warmth, and clarity
  • Knowledge of licensing requirements and quality standards preferred
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience

Reports ToSenior Director of Education

StatusPart-Time, 20 hours per week

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
