One Algorithm is seeking a Senior Grant Specialist (Strategic Funding & Growth) to lead the identification, strategy, and execution of funding opportunities that support both our internal growth and our partner/client ecosystem.
This is not a traditional grant writing role. We are looking for a high-performing, entrepreneurial professional who understands how to leverage grants and federal set-aside programs—including veteran-owned designations—as a strategic growth engine.
You will play a key role in helping One Algorithm and its partners access non-dilutive capital, federal funding, and contracting pathways, while advising on positioning and eligibility across multiple set-aside categories.
This role is best suited for professionals who have successfully secured funding and are comfortable operating in a performance-based environment with high upside.
Responsibilities- Identify and pursue federal, state, local, and private grant opportunities
- Lead end-to-end grant development (strategy, writing, submission)
- Build and manage a funding pipeline across One Algorithm and partner organizations
- Advise on set-aside strategy and positioning (SDVOSB, VOSB, WOSB, MBE, SDB, etc.)
- Support partnerships and teaming strategies
- Translate technical capabilities into fundable proposals
- Assist in post-award compliance and reporting
- 7 years of experience in grant writing, grant strategy, or public sector funding
- Proven success securing grants tied to business growth, innovation, or workforce development
- Strong knowledge of federal funding (Grants.gov, SBIR/STTR) and state programs
- Experience with set-aside programs:
- SDVOSB / VOSB
- WOSB / EDWOSB
- MBE / SDB
- 8(a) (preferred)
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort in a performance-based environment
