- Provide personal care and assistance to a bed-bound client
- Prepare and assist client with breakfast, lunch, and snacks
- Perform brief/diaper changes and provide proper incontinent care
- Assist with bathing and personal hygiene
- Wash and groom client's hair as needed
- Assist with repositioning and maintaining the client's comfort
- Perform light housekeeping related to the client's care
- Wash, dry, fold, and put away the client's laundry and linens
- Keep the client's immediate living area clean and organized
- Observe and report any changes in the client's condition
- Provide companionship and maintain the client's dignity and privacyQualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of ADLs assistance, dementia care, memory support strategies, and behavioral management techniques.
- Certification as a CNA or equivalent credential; CPR and First Aid certification required or obtainable upon hire.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks associated with caregiving responsibilities.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments such as developmental disabilities or geriatrics is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to client communication and client rights advocacy.
- Valid driver’s license for driving duties related to resident transportation or outings.
Qualifications
- CNA certification or qualified Personal Care Assistant experience
- Experience caring for bedbound clients preferred
- Must be comfortable providing complete personal care and incontinent care
- Dependable and able to report to work consistently Monday through Friday
- Compassionate, patient, and professional
- Must be able to safely perform the physical duties required for client care
- Reliable transportation required
