Job Summary:
We are a new Bakery & Cafe opening in the heart of Ann Arbor.
We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The Pastry Cook will be responsible for preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods in accordance with our recipes and quality standards.
Duties:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, desserts, and bread
- Decorate pastries using icing, glazes, and toppings
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create new pastry offerings
- Assist in catering events as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or relevant role
- Knowledge of pastry and baking techniques
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Culinary or pastry arts degree is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and creativity
