We are urgently hiring experienced Mechanical Assemblers to support the production of advanced defense systems at a premier Cincinnati-area manufacturer. This is not a light assembly job — you will be building mission-critical military equipment from the ground up.
If you have strong mechanical instincts, hands-on experience, and take pride in precision work, this is the opportunity you’ve been looking for — with great pay, weekly paychecks, and a clear path to permanent employment.
This is a contract-to-hire role — strong performers are converted to full-time based on performance and attendance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Performing advanced-level mechanical assembly of defense and military systems
- Setting up and operating machinery; installing components to contract specifications
- Working from engineering blueprints, models, and Process Flow Instructions
- Applying a wide range of hand tools and power tools with precision and confidence
- Prep work including surface finishing, spray application, and component inspection
- Installing and integrating hydraulic and pneumatic systems (a strong plus)
- Maintaining strict adherence to quality control and safety standards throughout production
- Collaborating with your team to hit schedule targets on high-priority defense contracts
What You’ll Need
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of hands-on manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience (required)
- Proven experience using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings (preferred)
- Experience with hydraulics and/or pneumatics is a significant plus
- Physically able to lift and push up to 50 lbs regularly, up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Flexibility to work overtime when needed, including weekends
Assessment Notice: As part of the interview process, all candidates will complete a brief Mechanical Aptitude Assessment covering tool identification, following directions, reading a tape measure, and basic math. This is straightforward for anyone with real hands-on experience.
