Position Summary
The Transmission System Operator Intern will direct and ensure the safe and reliable construction, maintenance and repair of Transmission and Substation equipment. The intern will coordinate with the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and Transmission Operators to maintain a maximum level of system reliability within the Oncor Transmission and Distribution system and the ERCOT grid.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control the Transmission system to ensure a reliable and efficient supply of power to Oncor’s customers.
- Read, interpret, and understand transmission project plans for accuracy, outage feasibility and safety
- Respond to outages and alarms for Transmission and Distribution level equipment
- Coordinate with ERCOT, Neighboring Transmission Operators, Generators and Transmission Field Personnel to maintain system reliability and deliver consistent power in the event of a disruption.
- Ensure compliance with Oncor safety handbook.
