Oncology & Hematology Specialists is a freestanding outpatient medical practice specializing in the treatment of cancer and blood disorders. We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our onsite infusion center in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey. Our office operates exclusively during regular business hours, offering a predictable daytime schedule with no nights, weekends, or holiday shifts. Registered Nurse Duties & Responsibilities
You can expect to regularly perform at least some of the following tasks if you want to work in this profession.
- Implement physicians’ orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
- Must have strong IV skills and central lines experience.
- Assess and evaluate oncology patients' complex needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer chemotherapy infusion as ordered.
- Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
- Oncology Infusion Center Experience preferred
- Chemotherapy certification required.
- Able to keep up with a busy 20 chair, approximately 50-55 treatment per day schedule.
- Team player who works well with others.
Other Good Qualities to have as a working RN in a chemotherapy clinic.

- Excellent bedside manner: This goes hand-in-hand with compassion and communication skills.
- Confidentiality: You must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality concerning health service records and information
- Multitasking: You should have the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and without error.
