Harbor View Creative Learning Center is looking for an Infant Teacher to join our team! We are seeking a candidate to work in our older infant classroom with children aged 10 to 16 months.
Pay starts between $17.00 and $19.00 based on education and experience. On-going pay raises for all employees are awarded based on meeting program standards and expectations. If you are a good fit for our program, we love to promote and help all our teaching staff grow! Career advancement is always available, and we are willing to assist.
** Before your first day, you will need a North Carolina qualifying letter, a recent TB test, and a physical.
Benefits:
- All Employees will accrue Personal Time and PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
- Sick Pay will be accrued for a maximum of 48 hours, applied to each employee's policy, and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
- Holiday pay will be paid based on your individual average hours worked and will be paid to each employee after their 60-day probationary period.

Responsibilities:
- Develop a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for children between 10 months and 16 months of age
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
- Track children's progress and report to parents
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background
- Collaborate with other educators.
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
Desired Candidate
- Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
- Qualifying letter (Needed before the first day)
- TB test and Physical
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as a mediator between children
- Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
- Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
