Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol designated areas using CCTV systems and physical security patrols to prevent unauthorized access and detect suspicious activity.
- Control access points with precision, verifying identities and maintaining logs of all visitors, contractors, and staff in accordance with security protocols.
- Respond promptly to emergencies by executing established procedures such as fire alarms, medical incidents, or security breaches.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any unusual activities or security concerns encountered during shifts.
- Perform background checks on new contractors or vendors as part of the access control process to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Assist with emergency response procedures including first aid administration, AED operation, CPR, and conflict de-escalation when necessary.
- Engage courteously with visitors and staff, providing excellent customer service while maintaining a secure environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience or training in surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, or physical security practices.
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and familiarity with incident report writing standards.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when required for equipment or supplies.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with emergency response procedures.
- Strong understanding of security regulations, compliance standards, and access control systems.
- Experience with conflict management and de-escalation techniques to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Background in military service or law enforcement is a plus but not mandatory; relevant experience is highly valued.
