The Human Resources Generalist serves as both a strategic and hands‑on partner to leadership, aligning

HR practices with Onanon’s business goals and its strong, people‑centered culture. This role strengthens

the employee experience by promoting Onanon’s core values of innovation, collaboration, continuous

improvement, and respect, ensuring HR programs and daily interactions reinforce our culture of

excellence.


This position delivers high‑quality HR services across a full range of functions including payroll support,

benefits administration, employee relations, talent management, training, onboarding, recruiting, and California compliance, while working proactively with managers to build high‑performing, engaged teams.


Essential Job Functions


Business Partnership & Culture Engagement

• Model and reinforce Onanon’s cultural attributes—ownership, continuous improvement,

teamwork, empowerment, operational excellence, and respect for people—through day‑to‑day

interactions and HR processes.

• Partner with leaders to help strengthen team cohesion, communication, and shared

accountability, offering recommendations that improve the employee experience.

• Stay aware of business needs and recommend practical HR solutions that contribute to

operational effectiveness and maintain cultural consistency across teams


Payroll, HRIS & Administration

• Review timekeeping for accuracy and CA wage/hour compliance (overtime rules, meal/rest,

rounding, schedules).

• Payroll processing with Ceridian Dayforce and partnering with the Amphenol corporate payroll

team as required.

• Maintain accurate HRIS data and run reports that support operational planning and workforce

analysis.


Benefits, Leave of Absence Management & 401(k) Administration

• Guide employees through benefits enrollment, questions, claims, and open enrollment. Partner

with Amphenol benefits team as required.

• Administer California and federal leave programs: CFRA, FMLA, PDL, Paid Sick Leave, WC,

ADA/FEHA accommodations, and disability coordination.

• Support Amphenol 401(k) program updates and compliance work.


Performance Management, Learning & Talent Development


JOB DESCRIPTION

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and talent development, coaching managers on

effective goal‑setting, feedback, and development practices.

• Identify training needs and partner with leadership to strengthen skills and cultural alignment

across the organization.

• Facilitate training related to CA‑mandated topics (harassment, safety, etc.).


Policy, HR Programs & Culture‑Building Initiatives

• Maintain and update policies and handbooks in accordance with CA laws and Onanon’s

standards.

• Drive programs that reinforce Onanon’s culture—recognition programs, engagement efforts,

communication practices, and team‑building events.

• Oversee EEO/AA reporting and ensure equitable, value‑aligned practices across the employee

lifecycle.


Employee Relations & California Compliance

• Manage employee relations with a focus on fairness, empathy, and alignment to Onanon’s culture

of respect, ensuring early, proactive issue resolution.

• Lead investigations and employer matters in accordance with FEHA, CFRA, ADA/FEHA

interactive process, CA Wage Orders, local ordinances, meal & rest rules, Cal/OSHA, and

company policies.

• Ensure Human Resources practices reflect Onanon and Amphenol’s commitment to an ethical,

safe, inclusive, and positive workplace.

This position uses a computer terminal to access, input and retrieve data. May be required to sit for

extended lengths of time. May be subjected to working long and/or irregular hours. This position may be

subject to interruptions that may cause a change in immediate priorities and/or work focus. May be

subjected to occasional irregular or extended work hours.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communication, or a

related field and/or equivalent Human Resource experience.

• 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing or

fast‑paced operational environment.

• Experience supporting multiple Human Resource functions such as recruiting, employee

relations, performance management, HRIS administration, payroll support, benefits, and

leave management.

• Working knowledge of California employment laws, including wage and hour regulations,

CFRA/FMLA, FEHA, PDL, meal/rest compliance, and Cal/OSHA requirements.


LANGUAGE & COMMUNICATION SKILLS

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively

with employees and leaders at all levels.

• Ability to draft, review, and interpret HR policies, procedures, reports, and regulatory

materials.

• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive conversations with clarity, empathy, and

professionalism.


JOB SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Solid understanding of key Human Resource practices including recruiting, employee relations,

performance management, Human Resource compliance, and talent development.

• Ability to interpret and apply California employment law and company policies.

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills; able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and

confidential matters.

• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical skills; able to use HR data and reports to guide decisions

and identify improvement opportunities.

• Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., Ceridian Dayforce or similar), Microsoft Office, and basic

reporting tools.

• Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate across departments.

• Effective conflict resolution skills and ability to support employees and leaders through difficult

situations.

• High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

• Positive, adaptable, and solutions‑focused mindset with a desire for continuous improvement.

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team; able to take initiative while seeking
