JOB REQUIREMENTS: The City of Onalaska is seeking to hire Site
Supervisors and Assistant Site Supervisors. Scheduled hours vary for
each program. An employee in these positions are responsible for either
directing or assisting with directing day camp program activities and
safety, facility preparation and supervising program staff. Work is
performed according to established guidelines and reviewed by the
Recreation Coordinator. Essential Job Functions: Depending on position
will either perform (Site Supervisor) or assist (Assistant Site
Supervisor) with the following duties. Train, supervise and evaluate
seasonal/part-time staff. Schedule staff and verify staff hours using
city supported scheduling software. Direct and assist with daily
activities and facility preparation and clean up. Order or purchase
needed supplies for camp activities. Review, adjust and conduct training
activities for staff around the Staff and Parent Manuals and follow the
guidelines set forth by these manuals. Maintain records of campers\'
emergency contact information. Assure that the records are taken when
campers leave the facility for outings such as walks, trips to the
Onalaska Aquatic Center, all field trips, etc. Compile Incident/Accident
Report Forms, Conduct Reports and all other required paperwork, check
for complete and correct information. Ensure that the paperwork is sent
through proper channels in a timely fashion. Dispense medication as
needed, log in the Medication Record and ensure correct records are kept
by staff under your supervision. Plan and lead staff meetings, trainings
and workshops. Maintain a clean and organized environment for both staff
and campers. Responds to accidents and emergencies in an appropriate
manner; administering first aid according to the blood borne pathogen
exposure control plan. Completes incident and accident reports in
accordance with department policy. Perform the job in compliance with
City policies, procedures, rules and the employee handbook. Perform the
job safely in compliance with City safety rules and procedures. Perform
other duties as requested or assigned. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Must
be 18 years or older. CPR/First Aid Certification required (class
available upon hire). Minimum of one year of recreation and/or child
care experience. Must possess supervision and leadership
dispositions/skills. Must possess good knowledge of school-aged activity
