Position Highlights

• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Hours of Operation: 8am to 4:30pm
• No holidays or weekends
  
  

Responsibilities Of The Recreation Therapy Specialist

• Lead and facilitate daily programming as outlined by the Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).
• Promote engagement in meaningful activities that support psychosocial well-being and life skills.
• Provide individualized neurocognitive and neurobehavioral support.
• Implement de-escalation strategies as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with persons served, families, and team members.
• Collaborate with CTRS on program planning and adapt activities as needed.
• Complete documentation and communicate relevant updates to the care team.

Requirements Of The Recreation Therapy Specialist

• Ability to meet pre-hire criteria (background check and lift test)
  
  

Preferred Qualification Of The Recreation Therapy Specialist

• Previous experience working with individuals with neuro diagnoses.
• Associate degree or higher (no degree required).
• Direct care background working with individuals with disabilities and/or neurological diagnoses.
