We are currently seeking a part-time cook to join our incredible culinary team at On With Life. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals recovering from brain injuries. Cooks play a key role in the healing process by preparing high-quality meals and creating comforting, joyful dining experiences for our persons served and their families.
This part-time position works 1-2 days per week, with typical hours of 11:00am or 1:00pm-7:00pm. This position also requires working rotating weekends (every other) and rotating holidays (holiday pay available). This position may also periodically work at our Ankeny short-term care facility.
Responsibilities of the Cook position:
- Prepare and serve high-quality, nutritious meals to persons served, families, guests, and staff.
- Follow individual dietary restriction or medical nutrition needs as prescribed.
- Ensure a safe and sanitary kitchen and dining environment in compliance with facility, industry, and regulatory standards.

Requirements of the cook:
- Ability to be flexible with schedule, including weekends and rotating holidays.
