Position Overview
The Project Supervisor supervises field teams of Broadband Installers and Technicians, overseeing daily tasks and installation activities, ensuring a best-in-class customer experience. The Project Supervisor effectively plans by anticipating potential issues and project needs to accomplish company and client objectives. This position focuses attention on safety, quality, and image, and provides an excellent customer experience while maintaining compliance with established project plans, efficiency, and cost management. This position serves as an assistant to the Project Manager in carrying out these functions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day execution and field oversight of Fiber Optic Broadband Installers and Technicians working on our clients' projects including coordination with the Project Manager to achieve project goals while maintaining the highest level of quality, customer experience, safety, and image
- Effectively lead team members by communicating clear expectations and goals
- Accurately track and submit field and daily production data relating to time worked, team productivity, equipment, and materials used to management as appropriate; assists in the development of project reports and research as needed
- Ensure Installers and Technicians have proper materials, supplies, and equipment necessary to complete scheduled work; supervise the warehouse coordinator and material reporting
- In collaboration with the Project Manager, play a key role in orienting new hires, performing quality control inspections, performance evaluations, coaching team members, and ensuring they are fully trained and equipped to deliver projects to the established standards and within the expectations of our clients
- Supports a culture where core values are the foundation of how clients, employees, vendors, and subcontractors all work together in the attainment of client and business goals
- Clean and maintain the interior and exterior of company vehicles and equipment, communicating any performance or maintenance issues to the Manager and Fleet Director
- Assists the Project Manager in resolution of customer concerns and complaints as needed
- Serves as the ‘System Safety Officer’ and as such adheres to driving and safety laws and company policies at all times
- Other projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications:Required Skills/Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 4 years of previous Fiber Optic Broadband installation (FTTH; IW/OSP) experience preferred
- Aerial and Underground Certifications are required to be completed satisfactorily upon hire
- Strong computer, network, and electronics skills and knowledge; ability to work on a tablet
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required; ability to clearly, professionally, and effectively communicate and interpret technical information
- Positive, solutions-oriented attitude with strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills; ability to organize and prioritize tasks to completion in a fast-paced environment while ensuring attention to detail
- Ability to explain and train complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences
- Ability to develop collegial working relationships with coworkers, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and others
- Current valid driver’s license and ability to remain insurable under the vehicle liability policy
- The selection process includes a comprehensive background investigation
- This is a safety-sensitive position and employees in this position are subject to Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) and Alcohol testing
- Ability to work some evenings and/or weekends to meet critical deadlines preferred
- Ability to respond to emergencies as needed to perform duties of the position
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, operating, and working with technical equipment and tools
- Ability to drive a vehicle for extended periods
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment & inclement weather
- Ability to utilize hand tools, identify wire size/color, and accurately utilize measuring devices
- Ability to complete tasks with small components and wires
- Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable and sustained use of your arms, legs, and moving your entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, sitting, standing, lifting/handling of materials up to 75lbs, and safely negotiating elevated work and small spaces; must be able to wear required PPE
