Job Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for and will lead our high-performing sales team. This strategic leader will oversee sales operations, manage and mentor a team of sales representatives, and ensure alignment with company goals and values. The Sales Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with executive leadership, finance, systems teams, and key stakeholders to drive performance, support market expansion, and uphold a culture of accountability, innovation, and integrity. The Sales Manager reports directly to the General Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Manage and develop a team of sales representatives, providing clear direction, coaching, and support
- Communicate effectively with Sales Reps to align goals and strategies across teams
- Set clear performance expectations, track KPIs, and lead Black Slate Partners WIGs (Wildly Important Goals) and 4DX (Four Disciplines of Execution) processes
- Run weekly sales meetings focused on performance, strategy, and team development
- Lead quarterly executive sales reviews and facilitate the annual sales reviews
Accountability & Training
- Hold team members accountable for performance metrics, messaging quality, and customer satisfaction
- Review customer satisfaction survey data and leverage insights to improve sales approach and client relationships
- Provide 1:1 coaching and mentoring to sales reps, developing individual growth plans
- Design and implement a comprehensive sales training program aligned with company values and goals
Strategic Collaboration
- Work closely with General Manager to align on pricing, margins, and profitability targets
- Partner with IT and the Sales Training teams to ensure tools and platforms support sales efficiency and reporting accuracy
Growth Initiatives
- Nurture relationships with higher-level clients and strategic partners to drive long-term growth
Qualifications/Skills:
- Proven ability to lead with vision, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong track record in tracking KPIs, close rates, pipeline management, and performance metrics
- Experience with 4DX execution and managing WIGs is highly preferred
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems, reporting tools, and customer feedback platforms
- Experience supporting market expansion, merger & acquisition activities, or rapid-growth environments is a plus
Education and/or experience:
- 7 years of sales leadership experience, including managing sales teams
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing training programs
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
