Roofing & Construction Superintendent

On Top of It Roofing & Construction is now hiring a Roofing and Construction Superintendent.

We need someone that can be an on-site leader responsible for managing roofing and construction projects from start to finish. You will oversee crews, coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety compliance, maintain project schedules, and deliver quality workmanship within budget.

Supervise daily field operations for residential, commercial, or industrial roofing and construction projects. This role ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to company standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

• Oversee all phases of roofing and construction projects.
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Monitor project schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
• Conduct daily job site inspections.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract requirements.

Crew Supervision

• Manage roofing crews and construction personnel.
• Assign daily work activities and monitor productivity.
• Train and mentor employees on company procedures.
• Evaluate worker performance and provide feedback.

Safety Compliance

• Enforce OSHA and company safety regulations.
• Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Quality Control

• Inspect workmanship throughout project completion.
• Verify installations meet manufacturer specifications and building codes.
• Address deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions.
• Perform final walkthroughs with clients and inspectors.

Customer Relations

• Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients.
• Communicate project progress and schedule updates.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Maintain positive relationships with property owners and stakeholders.

Administrative Duties

• Complete daily reports and project documentation.
• Track labor hours, materials, and equipment usage.
• Assist with budgeting and cost control.
• Coordinate inspections and permit requirements.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
• 5 years of roofing or construction experience.
• 2 years of supervisory or superintendent experience.
• Strong knowledge of roofing systems, construction methods, and building codes.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of commercial and residential roofing systems.
• Experience with:
• TPO roofing
• EPDM roofing
• Metal roofing
• Shingle roofing
• Modified bitumen systems
• Scheduling software experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
