Duties
- Locate and serve legal documents to individuals or entities in accordance with jurisdictional requirements
- Follow strict protocols for document delivery, including obtaining proof of service through affidavits or notarized statements
- Maintain detailed records of each service attempt, including dates, times, locations, and outcomes
- Communicate effectively with clients and legal professionals regarding service status and challenges encountered
- Use courier skills to navigate assigned areas efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries across various locations
- File all completed service documentation securely and accurately within designated systems or physical files
- Adhere to all legal regulations and confidentiality standards related to process serving activities
Experience
- Prior experience as a courier or in a role requiring reliable transportation and timely delivery is highly preferred, but not necessary.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with clients, recipients, and legal personnel
- Knowledge of filing procedures within legal or administrative contexts is advantageous
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high accuracy and professionalism
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential for fulfilling delivery routes effectively
