Who We Are
On The Rock Services Inc. is the fastest-growing foodservice equipment repair company in Upstate Carolina.
What We Do
We provide service, maintenance, and installation for all types of commercial foodservice equipment, including refrigeration, HVAC, cooking equipment, dishwashers, ice machines, and more.
Who We’re Looking For
Technicians who take pride in their craft. People who see their coworkers and customers as people—and execute with quality, integrity, teamwork, and strong customer service.
We maintain high standards in how we work and serve our customers. This position is not for everyone—it’s for technicians who take pride in their craft and strive to consistently perform at a high level.
What We Offer
- Pay: $35–$38/hour
- Health insurance reimbursement up to $550/month
- 401k (soon to include financial planning services to help you grow your money)
- $250 yearly boot allowance
- Company-provided uniforms (of course we do—but figured we’d mention it)
- Take-home service vehicle (another given, but doesn’t hurt to mention)
- Paid training (we want all our techs performing at the highest level, so we invest in you)
- 3 weeks PTO (sick, vacation, personal—use it how you need)
- Paid holidays
- All large tools provided
We are open to candidates with varying levels of field experience. Placement and compensation are based on skill level, diagnostic ability, and overall performance—not just time in the trade.
PTO, 401k, paid holidays, and health insurance reimbursement all start on day one.
Technical Expectations
- Be largely self-sufficient (we are a team and here to help, but you should be able to handle most situations on your own)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to accurately diagnose root causes and perform effective repairs on electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems
- Proficiency with tools of the trade, including gauges, meters, and manometers
- Perform work with a focus on first-time fix quality, minimizing callbacks and repeat visits
- Approach every job with a focus on clean, correct work—no guesswork, no unnecessary parts, and no band-aid fixes
Soft Skill Expectations
- Maintain a professional, presentable appearance
- Communicate clearly, politely, and professionally with customers, teammates, and others
- Provide accurate service notes and documentation
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to a strong service culture
Preferred Qualifications
- EPA 608 Certification (required for refrigeration work)
- Clean driving record
Candidates who are not the right fit for this role may be considered for other positions within the company based on skill level and overall ability.
Work Schedule
Typical full-time schedule with a consistent workload. Some overtime or extended hours may be required depending on service demand. Mandatory participation in the on-call rotation.
Growth Opportunity
This role is a stepping stone into leadership. Technicians who excel here are considered for formal leadership responsibilities within the company.
