On The Move is looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager, who will be part of a determined and effective team within a B2B environment. As an On the Move Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing revenue with new business while making sure our current clientele has every need met within our business.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Ideal candidates are growth-focused hunters with a proven ability to win new clients.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets and expand market reach
- Proactively prospect, identify, and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and outbound outreach
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify growth opportunities
- Build, maintain, and grow strong, long-term relationships with potential and existing clients
- Conduct compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to client needs
- Negotiate contracts, proposals, and pricing terms to close deals and maximize profitability
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams (operations, marketing, finance, and service delivery) to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction
- Leverage HubSpot and other CRM systems to accurately track leads, sales pipeline, customer interactions, and performance metrics
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle, ensuring clients feel supported and valued
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by leadership
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to generate leads and build brand presence as needed
- Deliver regular sales reports, forecasts, and insights to leadership to support business planning
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products or services to maximize client value
Requirements (key skills and qualifications)
- Proven track record as a hunter in business development, sales, or client relationship management
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a results-driven mindset
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze data, market trends, and customer insights to inform strategies
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to be licensed or currently licensed with Insurance Licenses (P&C)
- Willing to travel for sales trips and trades shows
