Position Overview
On the Hook Fish and Chips is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting
Clerk to support our growing accounting team. This position plays a key role in
maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting
operations across our multi-state business.
The ideal candidate is reliable, communicative, and has a strong attention to detail, with
a basic understanding of bookkeeping processes and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Card Management:
o Prepare and send out missing receipt reports to employees.
o Reconcile credit card statements and ensure transactions are properly categorized.
Accounts Receivable (A/R):
o Manage and monitor accounts receivable tasks within Bill.com, including applying payments and following up on outstanding invoices.
o Assist with reconciling customer accounts and resolving discrepancies.
General Bookkeeping Support:
o Assist with data entry and transaction review in accounting software (QuickBooks Online).
o Support month-end and year-end closing processes as needed.
o Help maintain organized digital records and documentation for audits or reviews.
Qualifications
o 1 year of bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative experience preferred.
o Familiarity with QuickBooks Online and/or Bill.com strongly preferred.
o Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
o Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
o Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines.
o Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
Schedule & Compensation
Hours: 20 per week, flexible scheduling available.
Pay: $16/hour, paid semi-monthly.
This is a part-time position with potential for growth.
