Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a 26ft box truck while ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role requires a commitment to safety, adherence to regulations, and excellent route planning skills.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
- Safely load and unload cargo using pallet jacks for manual handling techniques as required.
- Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo information as per regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety protocols and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must provide DMV driving records
- Proven experience in truck driving
- Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and logistics planning.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass background checks and adhere to safety standards at all times.
