Business Development Associate – Beverage Industry (Tri State Territory)
Location: Connecticut / Boston / Springfield (CT, MA, RI Territory)
Salary: $80,000 – $85,000 Base
Bonus: Up to 20% Performance Bonus

Our client is a beverage manufacturer seeking a driven Business Development Associate to grow a diverse portfolio of beverage brands (soda, seltzer, flavored water, and multicultural beverages) across the New England market. This is a high-impact field sales role focused on distributor expansion, retail execution, and brand growth.
What We’re Looking For
A hands-on beverage sales professional who thrives in the field, builds strong distributor relationships, and has a proven track record of growing beverage portfolios in competitive markets. Entrepreneurial mindset and strong execution focus are essential.
Qualifications
5 years of beverage or CPG sales experience (beverage strongly preferred)
Proven success working with distributors and retail accounts
Strong background in business development and territory growth
Experience in beverage distribution (not single-brand-only sales)
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
Experience executing retail programs and in-store activation
CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
Self-starter with entrepreneurial, field-based mindset
Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese preferred (not required)
Key Responsibilities
Drive new business development across supermarkets, convenience stores, and independent retail accounts
Expand distribution and secure new SKU authorizations
Manage and support third-party distributors and brokers
Ensure execution of retail programs including displays, merchandising, and promotions
Conduct field visits and ride-alongs to ensure distributor accountability
Track performance using CRM tools and report field insights to leadership
Support sampling and brand activation initiatives in-market
Identify growth opportunities and gaps within assigned territory
