Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tulsa, OK, for a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner. In this role, the practitioner will assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of wounds in long term care facilities and patient homes. Responsibilities include conducting thorough exams, developing individualized treatment plans, managing wound healing processes, providing patient and caregiver education, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals to achieve the best outcomes.
Qualifications
- Advanced clinical skills in wound assessment, treatment, and management
- Strong knowledge of chronic disease care, mobility limitations, and nutrition's role in healing
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
- Master's degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) with valid RN and NP licensure
- Previous experience in wound care or a related field is highly desirable
- Wound Care Certification (e.g., WCC, CWS) is a plus
