What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ready Mix Driver position at On-Site Concrete Solutions?
Position Summary
Responsible for the delivery of products to include accountability for shipments of products at the receipt of inventory, operating a safe work environment, tracking maintenance of vehicles, and various other duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Transport and deliver ready-mix concrete
- Maintain communication with dispatch to receive and transmit delivery instructions.
- Inspect and maintain the ready-mix truck regularly
- Always adhere to safety procedures and rules during transit and on construction sites
- Manage customer concerns and requests professionally
- Document and log work. (daily DVIR)
- Ensure all mandatory paperwork is completed in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Must have good communication skills
- Maintain required commercial driving license (Class A, Class B driver license)
- Pass DOT background check
- Maintain knowledge of and follow DOT rules and regulations, terminal policy and procedures, and any other regulations as required.
- Ability to handle physical workload
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Will be exposed to plant production development, indoors and outdoors
- Exposed to elements cold, heat and humidity
- Regularly required walking, twisting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, standing, reaching, bending and moving about the yard/facility.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- May handle potentially hazardous equipment and materials
- Occasional testing of equipment
- Work well alone and with others
- Must exhibit flexibility, good attitude and dependability
