Diesel Fleet Mechanic

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Diesel Fleet Technician to oversee the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of our light and medium duty commercial vehicle fleet at our St. Paul location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diesel Diagnostics & Repair: Perform complete diagnostic procedures, preventive maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines, drivetrain, hydraulic systems, suspensions, and electrical systems.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance: Annual DOT compliance, oil changes, etc.
• Electronic Troubleshooting: Utilize electronic diagnostic tools and software to identify system malfunctions and mechanical errors.
• Upfit Maintenance: Service auxiliary equipment commonly mounted on F-550 chassis, including lift gates and power take-off (PTO) units
• Fleet Maintenance: Maintain accurate service records, track inventory, execute scheduled PM checks, and adhere to all shop safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1–3 years of professional experience in diesel equipment diagnosis, engine repair, and light/medium-duty vehicle maintenance.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in hydraulic systems, chassis components, electrical troubleshooting, and welding

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License
• DOT Medical Card
• ability to lift up to 70–125 lbs
• Willingness to work seasonal overtime as needed
