Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and with exceptional service. This position requires a passion for food and customer service, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering food from the kitchen to the dining area while maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation.
Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner.
- Assist servers in ensuring that all orders are accurate and complete.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate order timing and special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
- Help with food preparation when necessary, including assisting cooks during busy periods.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards throughout all stages of food handling.
- Support banquet operations by setting up tables, serving food, and clearing dishes as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
Skills
- Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure quality service.
- Experience in banquet settings is a plus, demonstrating ability to manage large groups effectively.
- Previous experience as a cook or in kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and guests.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems for order tracking is beneficial.
- Capable of working collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
