What are the responsibilities and job description for the PORTER/JANITOR - WALKER COUNTY SRA position at ON OUR OWN SERVICES INC?
PORTER/JANITOR- YOU WILL REPORT TO WALKER COUNTY REST AREA IN HUNTSVILLE
Purpose: To maintain a clean, sanitary and attractive rest area facility for the traveling public.
**Due the nature of our program, persons with a documented disability will be considered first.
Job Duties
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
- Gather and empty trash from inside building, all restrooms and the grounds outside.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
- Notify the 800# of any maintenance issues or other occurance.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
- Clean and polish fixtures.
- Weed asasigned flower beds and other light gardening duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old.
Complete Bloodborne Pathogen training.
Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
Be able to pass a background check and screening requirements as required by contract and company standards.
