About the Position
A leading food distribution company is seeking a Spanish- Speaking Bakery & Pastry Sales Specialist to join its team and support customers across New Jersey and New York.
This role combines bakery and pastry expertise with commercial and customer-facing responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of bakery and pastry products, strong communication skills, and previous experience in a sales or commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit and develop relationships with bakery and pastry customers throughout New Jersey and New York.
- Provide product knowledge and technical support related to bakery and pastry products.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Support sales growth and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations when needed.
- Coordinate with the plant and internal teams to address customer requirements.
- Follow up with customers and identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of customer visits, opportunities, and sales activities.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in bakery and pastry, preferably combined with commercial or sales experience.
- Background in bakery, pastry, food science, or gastronomy.
- Spanish speaker required.
- English proficiency is a plus.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commercial mindset and ability to develop customer relationships.
- Ability to work independently and manage a customer-focused schedule.
- Must be available to work throughout New Jersey and New York.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday.
- Occasional Saturday availability may be required to meet customer needs. Any Saturday worked will be compensated with a weekday off.
