Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive mechanics and diagnostics, along with excellent driving skills. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and assisting customers in need of roadside assistance. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional service while ensuring the safety of both the vehicles and the individuals involved.
Duties
- Operate tow trucks to transport vehicles safely to designated locations.
- Perform vehicle loading and unloading procedures efficiently.
- Conduct basic automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle issues before towing.
- Provide conflict management support when dealing with distressed customers.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch regarding job status and any issues encountered.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and perform routine maintenance checks.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Assist with additional tasks as required, including forklift operation when necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Tow Truck Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and diagnostics is essential.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) required.
- Experience in conflict management to handle various customer situations effectively.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other machinery as needed.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic vehicle issues.
