Position Responsibilities:
- Inspect, install, repair, and service fire sprinkler systems, including Wet, Dry, Pre-action, Deluge, and Foam systems
- Install, hang, and service sprinkler systems and components in accordance with NFPA standards and engineering guidelines
- Repair or replace sprinkler system components as needed
- Test, rebuild, repair, or replace backflow preventers
- Identify system deficiencies and recommend effective repair solutions
- Prepare jobsites by performing visual inspections, disabling horns and strobes, and notifying the alarm company and fire department prior to testing
- Perform system testing to verify proper operation of sprinkler and alarm systems upon completion of work
- Verify proper communication with the monitoring station when working on monitored systems
- Perform all work efficiently, safely, and professionally
- Complete required installation, inspection, and service documentation
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years of experience in fire sprinkler installation, inspection, or service-related experience in plumbing or pipefitting will be considered
- Clean driving record
- Valid G-Card certification
- Ability to pass a background check
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Ability to repeatedly carry 50–70 pounds
- Ability to push and pull more than 75 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders reaching heights of at least 12 feet
