Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The
Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of production
equipment and facilities through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs.
This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime and ensuring a safe and productive
working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine, scheduled, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment, machinery, and systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic).
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair or replace defective parts, motors, control panels, wiring, or switches as needed.
- Maintain building systems including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and general facility repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery or production lines.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and moving machinery.
- Must be comfortable working in varying temperatures and conditions.
- May require overtime, weekends, or on-call availability depending on production needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred.
- 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of motors, conveyors, pumps, and gearboxes.
- Basic welding, fabrication, and machining skills are a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout, confined space, and other safety practices.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
