Fabricator – On-Demand Tank Rentals (Bakersfield, CA)
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Type: Full-time (7 AM – 4:30 PM, overtime as needed)
Reports to: Branch Manager

At On-Demand Tank Rentals, we supply high-capacity stationary and transportable fuel tanks (119 to 17,500 gallons) that support critical operations across multiple industries.
We’re looking for an experienced Fabricator who takes pride in quality workmanship and can turn ideas—whether from drawings, sketches, or general direction—into functional, field-ready solutions. This role is not production work, everyday is a new day. This role focuses on building and modifying support systems, accessories, and custom fuel setups.

What You’ll Do
- Fabricate and assemble support structures, components, accessories, and pump systems
- Modify tanks and containers to create functional rental units
- Build small tank systems and integrated pumping packages
- Perform welding on brackets, frames, piping, and structural components
- Cut, grind, and prep materials for fabrication and repair
- Install valves, fittings, vents, pumps, and accessories
- Repair damaged components and structural elements
- Read and work from drawings, measurements, or general concepts
- Design and fabricate custom solutions to meet operational needs
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
Shop & Yard Support:
- Assist with tank inspections and refurbishments as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Support yard operations and turnaround times
- Create tools and fixtures for shop use
- Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work
- Strong attention to detail and safety mindset
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently and with a team
Required:
- 5 years of fabrication-focused welding experience (MIG and/or stick)
- Strong experience with fabrication tools (grinders, saws, torches, etc.)
- Ability to measure, cut, and assemble accurately
- Ability to work from limited drawings or general direction when needed
Preferred:
- 10 years of fabrication-focused welding experience (MIG and/or stick)
- Experience building skid units, pump systems, or similar equipment
- Experience with tanks, fuel systems, or heavy equipment
- Mechanical knowledge (valves, fittings, piping)
- Forklift experience
- Ability to read blueprints or fabrication drawings
Compensation & Benefits
