We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fuel Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fuel systems and petroleum equipment for commercial, industrial fueling operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working with fueling systems, pumps, tanks, piping, dispensers, and related petroleum equipment while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.
This position requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently and with a team within our warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, maintain, and repair petroleum equipment including:
- Fuel dispensers
- Submersible turbine pumps (STPs)
- Fuel transfer pumps
- Tank monitoring systems
- Fuel piping systems
- Spill containment systems
- Fleet fueling systems
- DEF systems
- Temporary above-ground fuel systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.
- Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and inventory control.
- Assist with receiving, staging, and shipping equipment and materials.
- Ensure all equipment meets company safety and operational standards before delivery.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and inventory documentation.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures, environmental regulations, and PPE requirements.
- Support warehouse and operations teams as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred
- Experience in petroleum equipment service, fuel systems, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
- Knowledge of fuel dispensers, pumps, and underground storage tank systems.
- Electrical experience including low-voltage and 120/240V systems.
- Experience with Veeder-Root, Gilbarco, Wayne, Bennet or Franklin Fueling systems.
- Petroleum certifications or licenses considered an asset.
