What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Monitor – Recovery Housing position at On Demand / New Day Recovery LLC?
We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and organized Recovery Housing Resident Monitor to join our Newton Falls campus.
This position plays an important role in creating a safe, structured, and recovery-oriented living environment for men residing in our recovery housing program. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting individuals in recovery while maintaining accountability, structure, and program expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with resident admissions, orientations, and discharges from recovery housing.
- Monitor daily activities within the recovery housing program to ensure a safe, sober, and supportive living environment.
- Ensure residents comply with house rules, lease agreements, curfews, and program expectations.
- Monitor attendance at required treatment services, recovery meetings, employment, and other scheduled activities.
- Complete regular rounds and document observations, concerns, and significant events.
- Address behavioral concerns promptly and professionally while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Communicate and collaborate with counselors, case managers, and community treatment providers regarding resident progress, concerns, and housing-related issues.
- Encourage accountability, healthy decision-making, and positive recovery behaviors.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, crises, and policy violations according to agency procedures.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation and incident reports as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to pass background check (BCI/FBI) and drug screen
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, recovery housing, social services, or a related field is preferred but not required
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries while building positive relationships with residents.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
