Housekeeping - Niles, OH (Temporary)

Salary: New Day Recovery is looking to add to our housekeeping staff on a full-time basis with possible weekend hours. We are a client focused organization assisting individuals who are battling addictions. Two of the most important roles in our organization is the housekeeping staff, because as our clients are coming to us for assistance and guidance and the first impression they receive before they even meet any of our medical or clinical professionals is the cleanliness and smell of tasty food.BENIFITS INCLUDE:80% company paid medical insurance for the employee and all dependents effective the first of the month following your start dateOptional dental and vision plans at reduced ratesOptional 100% company paid life insurance plan of $25,000401(k) with above average matching after one year of employmentPaid Time Off (PTO) begins accruing immediately upon first day of workESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE:Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing and laundry.Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies prior to operation.Notify superiors of any damages, deficits and disturbances.Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.Interact with staff, clients and visitors in a professional manner and treat all persons with dignity, and respect.Adhere to safety, health and infection control standards of practice to provide sanitary environment.Train and instruct employees on proper techniques related to inpatient and outpatient care.Clean and sanitize client rooms upon discharge.Complete cleaning of facility.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:High School diploma/GED equivalent and 18 years of age.Previous work experience in housekeeping or environmental.ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES:Demonstrate the ability to effectively function as a New Day Recovery team member and relate with empathy and sensitivity to staff, clients and community.Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently in an efficient manner.Demonstrate ability to work with minimal supervision.Demonstrate ability to operate and maintain equipment utilized within the housekeeping department.Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management and clients to maintain a customer-oriented environment.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical demands described are representative of those that must be routinely met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this position.
