Duties
- Perform blood sampling through venipuncture and capillary collection using aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity.
- Collect and process specimens accurately according to laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Measure vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to assist clinicians with patient assessments.
- Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures clearly, ensuring comfort, and maintaining a professional yet friendly demeanor.
- Maintain detailed records of specimen collection, patient information, and test orders with precision.
- Follow all laboratory techniques and safety procedures to uphold the highest standards of patient care and specimen handling.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding specimen status or any patient concerns during visits.
Experience
- Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting, hospital environment, or mobile tech is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory procedures, venipuncture, and blood sampling techniques.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques to ensure accurate specimen collection and patient safety.
- Experience working directly with patients, providing compassionate care while managing multiple collections efficiently.
- Familiarity with hospital protocols and laboratory techniques that support quality assurance and compliance standards.
